update:

Have had some lovely feedback from David and Maria about their Wiltshire Wedding:

Thanks very much for sending the link to the photos. We’ve already gone through them several times, and I keep on enjoying seeing them. They give such a lovely portrayal of the day – a wonderful memory of our day and much even nicer than what I’d hoped for! It’s so much fun to see who is talking to who, and doing what, and also to see what mischief some the children were getting up to… ūüėČ There are just so many amazing shots to choose from now – we’re going to be at a loss which ones to choose for our album. ¬†Thanks again for providing such an amazing memory of our wedding day.

¬†Last weekend saw me travelling to beautiful Devizes in Wiltshire to photograph the wedding of Maria and David. ¬†It’s always nice travelling to new places for wedding photography and here was no exception.

Maria looked stunning in her dress as she pulled up with her father being driven in a classic Lagonda car, the ceremony in the stunning 12th Century St Johns the Baptist church then passing without a hitch, and which included some incredible singing from the choir present.  It was then a short walk onto The Bear Hotel in Devizes town centre for tea and cake!  The function room here with its huge windows and swathes of natural light was a pleasure to photograph in.

After here things moved onto the nearby wedding venue of Wellington Barn for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. ¬†Set in stunning Wiltshire countryside the areas around the venue were great to photograph, particularly the fields in their Autumnal shades and where the children especially had fun running around…..and around…..and around! ¬†I was exhausted just watching them!

All in all a great day, and as a documentary wedding photographer getting to photograph in such environments, with the natural light as great as it is at this time of year was a sheer pleasure to do.

It’s never easy choosing from 500+ pictures which to choose for these blogs, but I’ve picked out a handful below each of which I like for their own reasons. ¬†Please feel free to share on Facebook or Twitter or even to comment below!
