A Kent Wedding I had the pleasure to photograph last year was that of Scott and Holly who got married at The Barn restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.  The Barn is a lovely intimate venue with characterful beams and tile hung exterior which is tucked away in the centre of town, and this was the first time I had photographed here.

The day started out with some bridal preparation photography at Scott and Holly’s house, where the usual mixture of makeup and breakfast with a spot of fizz goes on and here was a calm an atmosphere you could wish for!  I left ahead of the girls to meet Scott at The Barn where he anxiously awaited amongst the guests who were starting to arrive.

The ceremony was held in the conservatory where Holly made an entrance in her stunning dress, and afterwards it was drinks outside on the courtyard where some live music kept guests entertained.  Scott is in fact quite an emotional guy and there were the odd moments after the ceremony where a tear or two would make an appearance!  The light outside was particularly nice to photograph in and what with people in a small ish area, as a documentary photographer I was able to move around easily capturing some nice moments.

Its was then upstairs to the charming restaurant area with it’s exposed beams for the wedding breakfast and some heartfelt speeches, followed by some wild dancing kicked off by the children!

As usual below are some of my favourites from the day.
