Stephen and Megan’s Vineyard wedding last summer was such a beautiful day. They had chosen the lovely Bluebell Vineyard in the heart of the East Sussex countryside as their wedding venue, and what a fab day it turned out to be.
Megan and the girls got ready in a beautiful cottage behind the Dorset Arms in Withyham, which was surrounded by lavender and bathed in glorious sunshine. A vintage VW beetle was the wedding car of choice and then it was on to the Parish Church of Saint Andrew and Saint Mary the Virgin Fletching for the big event! Stephen waited underneath a beautiful flower arch crafted by the ace The Wildflower Box, and then we were treated the most loveliest ceremony.
Vineyard Wedding
It was then off to The Bluebell Vineyard near Uckfield which I hadn’t been to before and proved to be such great setting for a summer’s wedding day. They only host a handful of weddings there each year so you have to be quick to get the date you want.
The fantastic Amuse Caterers had everything ready and looking perfect for what was a really great and relaxed vibe to the rest of the day. Stephen and Megan really had everything planned down to the finest details.
It’s always nice for me as a wedding photographer, if time permits, in taking a couple out in the early evening away from everyone for a few minutes of quiet time.
First and foremost it’s great for a couple to have a little time out before the party kicks off, and also the light is perfect then to photograph in. Just outside of the Bluebell Vineyard we had a very peaceful and picturesque country lane to use as a backdrop, and which I thought worked really well for some images of Stephen and Megan together.
Such a great wedding day and it was a pleasure to have met these two and their lovely family and friends.
I’m lucky to meet some very talented suppliers in my job and these guys at Stephen and Megan’s wedding were no exception…
