In the corner of West Sussex you will find a small village by the name of Itchenor which is blessed by being located on the picturesque shores of Chichester Harbour. Charles and Zoe had chosen a sailing club wedding on this fine summer’s day and what a great choice it was.
Itchenor Sailing Club Wedding
This was my first visit to photograph a wedding in Itchenor, and is always lovely to discover unspoilt harbour villages such as this. It really is a very peaceful place and the light down on the waterfront was a joy to photograph in all day long (as you will see below!).
The incredibly lovely Charles and Zoe had planned the perfect wedding day at Itchenor Sailing Club. I always love finding about the detail and care that couples put into their wedding, and here things like Charles designing his own bespoke jacket, custom made kilts with the family tartan, and the same Morgan used that drove Zoe’s parents away on their wedding day. All this and more makes days like this so special.
Waterfront Twilight
As the sun set on this perfect summer wedding, guest headed outside onto the jetty to take in the enviable setting that Itchenor Sailing Club has. As the light slowly dipped below the horizon on what had been a great wedding day, folk headed back in for Zoe and Charles’ first dance at the start of the evening fun.
Not one wedding is ever the same with me as a documentary wedding photographer and is quite simply why I love what I do. Add to the mix getting to meet such lovely couples like these two and to spend a wedding day at such a glorious setting, really does put the cherry on top of the cake.
