Photographing bridal preparations is such an important part of the day to cover. Its the opening chapter, and when viewing back all the images from a wedding, this is the beginning of the story and in my opinion incredibly important to have (not having this is like a children’s story not starting with ‘once upon a time’!).
There is a guaranteed great atmosphere the morning of a wedding, whether it be taking place in the bride’s home or in a hotel room. The ingredients of hair,makeup, champagne, laughter, nerves, sometimes happy tears, clock watching, hugs, kisses….. it’s a jam packed few hours and just an awesome thing to photograph.
Yes it’s busy, but as the picture below from Sam and Rebecca’s Kent wedding highlights, there are welcome moments of calm, time to reflect and to look forward the the incredible day day that awaits!
