This was my first visit to the county of Argyll in Scotland and I hope it won’t be my last. The occasion was Ed and Amanda’s wedding which was to be held at their beautiful home near the town of Cardross.
Their wedding story as you will see below was incredibly personal to them both. Having moved up from London to settle in Scotland and to have their wedding here was all quite the adventure. Ed in particular is not shy of an adventure, having scaled Everest several times!
It’s important for me as a documentary wedding photographer to set the scene when photographing a wedding day such as Ed and Amanda’s. This means focussing and capturing not only the surrounding environment but also all the little details which makes a wedding day unique.
Scotland has lots to offer when it comes to holding a wedding there, and is certainly one of my favourites parts of the world to visit and photograph. The dramatic scenery (and weather!) and friendly folk makes it a special place indeed.
