Wedding Photography in Surrey

“We’ve now had a look through all the photos in detail and they’re fantastic – thanks so much!    I have no idea how we’re going to choose the ones for the album because we love them all!”    Adam and Mel.

It’s been a while since my last blog post, my own wedding and honeymoon took care of keeping me occupied the last month or so!

It’s true what past couples I’ve been lucky enough to work with over the years say about the day itself, that it flashes by so quickly that the excitement of getting to see photographs or film later down the line is a wonderful thing.  It was an awesome day but there is so much going on around you it’s impossible to take it all in, so the importance of having someone who you can trust to capture the day for you to a high standard is so important.

Well my first post as a married man is the lovely wedding of Adam and Mel at the beautiful venue of Taylors Farm in Surrey.  I’ve known Mel for some years having worked together on a tv cooking show, and so she kindly got in touch last year to see if I could photograph their big day for them.

The day started off at Mel’s childhood home in Dorking where everything was very calm and collected, and after some pictures of the preparations it was on to the church of St John the Baptist in rural Okewood Hill, which boasted a very special setting in the middle of some beautiful woodland.

After a lovely service it was over to the wedding reception at Taylors Farm in Capel Surrey, the sun was shining, canapes and drinks were served, guests chatted and laughed, even a pheasant turned up to see what was going on!  A great afternoon rolled into the evening as the sun set over the countryside, opened the way for some cracking speeches and a special first dance.

Below are some of my favourites from the day, please feel free to comment or to share on Facebook or Twitter.

If you are considering a Surrey Wedding at Taylors Farm, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your photographic requirements.
