A lovely wedding I had the pleasure to photograph was that of Anna and Rob at the beautiful St Mary’s Church in Chiddingstone, Kent.

It was a perfect day for it and was a very personal wedding as the reception was held back at Anna’s family home in Groombridge where she grew up.  In their field opposite the house they had spent many days preparing the marquee with homemade touches, such as produce that Anna’s father had made himself like chutneys and cider to give out as favours to the guests.  He also grew himself all the beautiful wild flowers for the wedding which featured everywhere.  During the morning of the day he settled down to read the papers and stayed out of the way whilst the girls busied themselves with all their preparations, and as a documentary wedding photographer it’s one of my favourite parts of the day to capture as the atmosphere and fun really comes across in the images.

After the service at Chiddingston guests made their way over to Groombridge to the stunning marquee for drinks and the wedding breakfast, and were later treated to a perfect sunset which flooded through the open sides of the marquee and created some great warm light for me to photograph.  As usual a selection of my favourite shots are below, please feel free to leave a comment!
