The wedding of Dean and Gemma was held at the beautiful Kidbrooke Park in Forest Row Kent a few weeks ago.  I started the day out over at Gemma’s house in Crowborough where everything was very relaxed with the girls getting ready champagne in hand!

After getting some lovely shots at the house I made my way ahead of Gemma to where the ceremony was to be held at the wedding venue of Kidbrooke Park, and was where I met up with Dean and his best men.  Gemma arrived shorty after in a vintage Rolls Royce and then the ceremony began with not a dry eye in the house (including the best man) and so made for good pictures!

After some family shots and a wander around the grounds guests were seated for the wedding breakfast in Kidbrooke Park’s stunning dining room, with its huge tall windows light filled the room and was a dream to photograph in.  Even in the evening with the place lit with candles it was still great, and as I solely shoot with fast prime lenses and a Canon 5d mk2, low light photography is never an issue, and I very rarely use flash unless I really have to.  In candle lit situations flash would kill all the natural warm light and intimacy of the occasion hence why it’s a no no!

The speeches were as usual a good blend of heartfelt words and hilarity, the latter applying to the best men playing a ‘true or false’ game with the guests about the habits of Dean!

All in all a lovely day and a pleasure to work with such a nice couple.  Below are a selection of pictures from the day, please feel free to comment or share.
