“They are amazing! Thank you so much”
To say I was the very first photographer to document the first wedding ever in a venue’s 470 years is quite something. This special place is Great Lodge near Braintree in Essex and the even more wonderful couple to be the first to tie the knot there were George and Victoria.
The barn known as Anne of Cleves Barn was built for said Queen in the 16th Century and is utterly stunning both inside and out. Grade 1 listing means it’s here to stay forever and will play host to many a big day to come.
George and Victoria were the lucky ones to be first, and their day couldn’t have been any more perfect.
Lovely Autumnal light meant we could explore the surrounding grounds which offered up a vineyard and open fields, before heading back into the Tudor barn for the evening fun.
The walls here could tell many a tale no doubt, and this wedding will undoubtably be one for them to remember.
